The Ladies Guild of St. Mary's, Bellevue, supports the parish in many ways. The Guild hosts the receptions for all the sacraments -- 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion, Confirmation and Easter Agape. The Guild also supports the parish financially by contributing to the purchase of wine, hosts and candles for the altar and pays for the flowers used during liturgical celebrations - Christmas, Easter, etc. The Guild sponsors the funeral luncheons that are offered to those needing one.
The Guild meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month, September through June. The rosary is recited prior to the Mass for all guild members, living and deceased. Guild dues are $5.00 a year and are collected in September. All women of the parish are considered a part of the guild. To be an active member, you are invited to pay dues, attend monthly meetings and help with receptions and bake sales held throughout the year.
At each monthly meeting we plan to have a speaker/program to entertain and enlighten before the business portion of the meeting. All women of the parish are invited to attend meetings.
The Guild is a vital ministry in the parish and it is through the work of all the ladies that the parish is supported and able to be such an important part of the community of St. Mary's.
